Linux Meetings in Quebec (RLQ) is the oldest French-speaking organization dedicated to Linux in Quebec, active since 2003.
Our mission is to bring the Quebec community together around Linux and free software in French to promote the exchange of knowledge, mutual assistance, and collaboration in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Whether you are passionate, a beginner, a professional, or simply curious: you have your place among our members spread across Quebec and the Francophonie.

Starting in January 2026, we are organizing captivating hybrid events twice a month to bring our French-speaking community of Linux enthusiasts together:

Monthly meeting at ÉTS, Montreal
Every first Tuesday evening of the month, our community gathers at the École de technologie supérieure for presentations, demos, and technical exchanges about free software.
Full house, screens on — the enthusiasm for Linux has been very much alive in Montreal since 2003.

More than 200 people gathered to celebrate two decades of sharing, learning, and passion for free software in Quebec. A historic moment for our community.
Today, we proudly celebrate reaching 23 years and 500 active members.
Meeting in Vaudreuil — Pacini
On the 3rd Saturday at noon of the month, enthusiasts from all backgrounds gather on the West Island to exchange ideas about Linux in a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, you are welcome.
The RLQ community is 23 years of welcome, curiosity, and friendliness — both in person and online.
